pin safely

I was so inspired by the pincushions at Wee Wonderfuls (there's even more in the "Zakka" category) that I spent yesterday making more than I need! What a great way to use heavy wool, and since I'm always sticking myself with pins I figure the safety message is clearly appropriate. As a crafting plus, they were easy to work on while Sadie shimmied across the floor (it's almost a crawl, but not quite.) Now what to work on today?

I really love the pin cushion samantha, you are so talented...but then I always knew that. The safety thing is ingenious. I saw a pin cushion in a magazine made out of ribbons based loosely on the log cabin pattern!! And.....thanks to kath for her wonderful comment about the day old pic of sadie.

So pretty and practical too! Love the subtle safety message, very clever. Are they stuffed with wool or sawdust or what? INquiring minds must know. ;o)

Great pincushions! I share your love of wool, its my meidum of choice for toymaking projects. Clever idea to use the safety motif for a pincuchion!
