prototype

Another vest in the spirit of all things academic. I can't help myself - vests are just way too cute on baby boys. I wrote the pattern up, but I think I'll try a second version at a larger size before sharing it (Milo is 18lbs...so I think I'll work with 12 months sizing next). I also want to slightly modify the neckline. I like the seed stitch border on the outer edge and I think repeating it on the inside (therefore making the center panel a bit wider) will just "neaten" the overall look. I can admit it - selvedges are just one of those things I care WAY too much about.

Anyone out there interested in this pattern? Is a 12 month size something you're looking for?

Holy crap, Milo is cute. I mean, nice vest too, but the eyes on that baby are somethin' else!

What vest? All I see is a delicious baby. I want to roll him in butter and put him between two halves of a bun.

Have you seen this book? I don't knit, but I flipped through it when I saw it in the store, and thought you'd love it.

Though your son is lucky that you knit for him, he is far luckier that you're so good at knitting. I am currently knitting my daughter as sweater of my signature "wonky" variety. I will have to stop making her clothing when she is smart enough to know that shoulders should be symmetrical. Until then...

Very cute vest!
I found your blog via Ravelry, I also really like the t-shirt vest you made for Milo.
And yes, I would be interested in the "prototype" pattern for a 12 months old - my son is 8 1/2 months old but quite tall.
